About The
Menopausal Woman's Guide

Who is Kennerly?

I'm a woman (who happens to be a writer) who lost her ever-living shit in perimenopause and continued to lose it right up through menopause. I was blindsided by symptoms like hellacious hot flashes and night sweats, mood swings that were more like rage fests, and a sinking feeling that lingered, making me think none of this would ever go away. I mean, for fuck's sake, it went on for the better part of 10 years. (Sorry, that's the damn truth. Somebody's gotta tell it.)

When I started coming up for air, I wrote The Menopausal Woman's Guide series, a snarky trilogy for women who are losing their shit in peri/menopause. My focus has been on mental health, financial health, and personal growth during the menopausal years. I hope you find this site useful and I hope you'll come connect with our Facebook support community for women approaching or in the throes of menopause.

This site includes a combination of professional intel and personal insights, gripes and wisdom. I sometimes throw around the term "crazy" because that is how most menopausal women I've talked to describe their mental health experiences during this stage of life. It is not meant to minimize or disparage people with severe mental health conditions.

"I have this on my Kindle Unlimited: A comical but insightful view and a great pick-me-up read. Clay has a way of writing that makes you feel you are hanging out with a friend who has you in stitches with humor."
